Damodar Ropeways & Infra Ltd. (DRIL) has been a pioneer in the infrastructure and construction industry since 1974. The company specializes in the construction of Passenger Ropeways, Material Ropeways, Ski Lifts, Chair Lifts, bulk material handling plants, and real estate projects.
DRIL also undertakes the modernization, revamping, and capacity upgradation of existing ropeway systems, along with the operation and maintenance of ropeways and material handling plants. In addition, the company is actively engaged in the turnkey construction of Steel Bridges, PRC Bridges, and Rope Suspension Bridges.
Over the years, DRIL has successfully installed, operated, and maintained a wide range of passenger and material ropeway systems, including Monocable, Bicable, Jig Back, and Aerial Tramways, independently as well as in collaboration with renowned European companies.

DRIL is a pioneer in the Indian ropeway industry and an ISO-accredited company where passenger safety remains the highest priority. The company has introduced several advanced safety practices in India, including rope X-ray testing as early as 1995, which has now become mandatory in many states.
To ensure maximum reliability and operational safety, DRIL conducts annual Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on all critical components to detect even the smallest structural defects invisible to the human eye.
The company sources components only from reputed Indian and international suppliers and conducts chemical composition testing through accredited laboratories for all critical parts. DRIL also utilizes state-of-the-art technology and equipment that comply not only with BIS standards but also with internationally recognized European safety norms.
